Dontronics is a small family owned business run by Don McKenzie, and operated from Tullamarine Australia. See our webcam page, which includes an approximate area map.

Dontronics.com was first registered as a business name in 1995, however we have been selling on the internet since 1993. Don started his first business in 1964 as an electrical contractor in Rainbow Vic. Australia, trading as McKenzie Woodhall, & Chapple.

Currently Don is providing product support, and his daughter Penny, is handling all on line sales. We basically operate 365 days a year, and answer all emails usually within a few hours (more often within minutes) between the two of us. Don is an early riser and starts around 05:00 (local time), and Penny may still be still working at 23:00 at night. If something is urgent, you may be wise to send a joint email to both of us.

We will answer your emails on Saturdays, Sundays, good Friday, and Christmas day. However these weekend and public holiday days, we will be somewhat slower than normal, but we will respond. We prefer an email to phone calls, as in most cases the answer will be found in an internet URL.

As we no longer manufacture anything ourselves, we rely on our suppliers basically 100% for product support, and we feel we have selected the best suppliers from all over the world, people that we can depend upon. If you have a problem, we will chase up the supplier, until we get a satisfactory answer in order to resolve your problem.

We carry no credit or debt, which means we pay our suppliers in advance, and we don't have account customers, so all goods must be paid for in advance. Only exceptions are Australian Educational & Government Departments, however all of these accounts must be paid within 30 days of purchase. We may well be one of the few companies in the world that works this way.

If you wish to pay by credit card, we don't accept free emails addresses such as Gmail, Hotmail, or Yahoo, unless you have been a Dontronics customer for a minimum of 6 months, or you can verify your ID easily. Please see Payment Options for alternatives available.
