What if I don't have an email contact from a paid Internet Service Provider and problems with "Free" Email Addresses

99% of the attempts made to steal goods from us come from people using a free email service in conjunction with a credit card payment.

Free email contact addresses are accepted as long as the order is not paid for by credit card.  We offer a range of payment methods so if you only have a free email contact, please look at other payment methods accepted to pay for your order.  These can be viewed at: Payment Methods

If you wish to pay for your order by credit card and use an email contact such as johndoe@hotmail.com, joebloggs@usa.net, etc. then we will require an additional email address from a paid internet service provider. If you have ordered from us before, an email alias is fine but you would need to remind us of any previous purchase so we can verify details.

If you are unable to give an alternative email address, an exchange of messages is required to enable us to establish your identity and method of web access.  If this is a news group message, a home page or any other mention of your email address, this should be fine but just giving an alias email address isn't going to set a software file or key order transaction in motion.
 

Browser Email "Reply To:" Address is Incorrect, or not Configured

An incorrect email address in an email "Reply To" address is usually done by newbies. To test this, send yourself a message then reply to it by clicking on the "Reply to Sender" button.  Is it your address?  Will it get to you?  It may well be the address of the person that gave you the copy of the browser.
 

How long after ordering before I receive my key?

The length of delivery of software keys varies depending on which software you have ordered and where you are located in the world.  We prefer to advise that most software registration keys will be received between 6 - 20 hours of your order being processed.

Dontronics staff do not have access to all registration software keys although we will forward on any download information we have as soon as we process your order.  Many times it's a matter of waiting for individual Software Authors to generate the key and forward it on to you.  Many of our Authors are located in Europe so there may be a few hours delay between receiving our email containing the license registration information, and receiving the second email containing the software key from the Author.

Where staff at Dontronics have access to software registration keys or are able to generate a key, download details and keys will be emailed to you as soon as we process your order.

I've lost my software registration key. Can you issue me another key?

Software registration keys can be lost due to a number of reasons.   As a Dontronics service, we offer to help find your key but there is no guarantee.  When you purchase from us, we advise that you save your Dontronics Registration Number and key (if applicable) to a CD or floppy.

If the Registration Key is issued to you by the Software Author, then you will have to contact him directly as we don't have access to these details.  Please see: How long after ordering before I receive my key?  for information on specific Software Key delivery.

If the Software Key was issued to you by Dontronics then we should be able to locate your original order and registration number quickly if you are able to provide us with a few helpful details.  These include your name or the company name that the order was originally placed in, an approximate date of the order, your Dontronics Registration Number if possible, and any email exchanges we may have made.

Forwarding this information on to us with your request to re-issue your key will assist us greatly in quickly tracking down your original order, and sending the details onto you.
 

Can I purchase a CD for the web-downloaded software you offer?

Unless advertised as selling as a CD, we do not provide copies of our web-downloaded software on CD for purchase.

Selling software by web-download ensures that the latest version is always available and it helps keep our prices to a minimum as we will not have outdated or obsolete software sitting on shelves on CD. This also by-passes any potential problems with sending goods through Customs which is always a good thing!
