The TTL-232R is a USB to Serial (TTL level) converter cable which allows for a simple way to connect TTL interface devices to USB.
The TTL-232R uses a FT232RQ device which is housed inside the USB 'A' connector, and is terminated at the end of a 1.8 meter cable with a 0.1" pitch header socket which provided access to transmit (Tx), receive (Rx), RTS#, CTS#, Vcc (5V), and GND.
The TTL-232R is fully RoHS compliant and is supplied loose packed in an anti-static bag. It is FCC and CE approved.
Re: USB/Serial cable for EQMOD/ASCOM software and Skywatcher NEQ6Pro mount
Hi Don All good - thanks! I have successfully used your cable to connect my Win 7 laptop to my Skywatcher EQ6Pro mount.
All I needed to do was replace the 6-way header plug with a DB9 male plug.
I connected the Black lead to DB9 pins 4 & 5, The Orange lead to pin 6 and the Yellow lead to pin 9.
It works perfectly! You may even wish to include that info on the TTL-232R-5V USB converter page?
Thanks and kind regards JOHN COOPER
