8-Nov-2005 Peter Naus G'day Don, Hope you had a great trip to NT! I havent' had a chance to purchase a MicroLCD yet (credit card empty!), but as I promised you, I will... I just wanted to let you know that I've had a wonderful experience with using MikroPascal on my latest design. I've spent the last 3 months trying to get HiTech C, IAR C, Proton BASIC, CCS, etc, working on what is a "standard" PIC 877 design, but have been hellishly frustrated by incredibly poor product documentation, and even worse product support (I even had a HiTech support forum member tell me to "google" my question, and when I asked why they couldn't recommend a particular training package, I was sent a one-line response to the effect that it was the second answer on their google search!). On the other hand, I downloaded and installed the trial version of MikroPascal, built a serial cable, burned the supplied bootloader code, and successfully downloaded and ran my sample code in less than 20 minutes. This truly is a good product (as far as I can tell now!), and I thoroughly recommend your site for putting me on to this software. In a world where C rules supreme, it is great for an old plodder like me to find a structured, documented, and fun development language that works out of the box! Kind regards as always, Pete
4-Jan-2005 Philip Montecillo Australia I've just purchase MikroElekronika PASCAL PIC IDE from your company and after testing the downloaded demo version of the IDE, i found that it makes the development of PIC chips more easier as well as similar to the current development language that I'm more familiar with C/C++ and Borland Delphi. In a short time, i manages to create my first PicProgram and also it makes it clear some of the intricacies of the PIC chips.
