Sorry,
I haven't been involved in applications for possibly 13+ years, so a group,
or the manufacturer would be the best bet. With the number of products
we have now days, it's impossible to have first hand experience with all
of them.
Hope
this helps point you in the right direction.

Easysync
USB-RS232 Adapter Cable Hardware Versions:
The
older Easysync cables had a blue plastic case, and an older chip set. The
latest units have a white case with a blue trim, and an updated chip set,
which actually uses less components.
The
latest software will run both versions of hardware, however the older software
will not run the latest hardware. You may need to update to the latest
software if you are running both versions of hardware. There are no hardware
compatibility issues with either of these units, just make sure you are
running the latest software.
Operating
Systems:
The
CD supplied may not be up to date with your operating system, so download
from the links given below. Pretty much every commonly used operating system
will work with the FTDI chip set. See the very long list list below:
Software
Problems:
95%
of problems are with the use of incorrect comms ports.
Go
to control panel, hardware settings, then select the com port with the
FTDI device attached. In advanced settings, you should be able to change
the com port so that it lines up with the software you are attempting to
use to drive the device. Each time you plug in a USB new device, the com
port increments, and you will need to set it back to line up with your
software.

Mr.

Olimex
Products. What is in the package?
Basically
what you get is the product, and no documentation at all. Most software
is delivered by download links that already exist on the advertised page.
CDs
are included only for the products that specify an included CD on the product
page.
The
download links on the product page aren't working correctly:
Olimex
has good products and prices, however they have a very bad habit of continually
changing links and file names. We have continually suggested methods of
overcoming this easily, but it falls on deaf ears. We try to overcome it
by updating their links. The only real solution around this is to go to
to their home page at:
http://www.olimex.com/dev/index.html
and follow the directory structure, which is basically the same as ours,
and find the same product page. This will have the correct links. If for
any reason the links on the Olimex page don't work, please let us know,
and we will get onto Tsvetan at Olimex, and get them updated ASAP.

the purchase of this board. Please ask in the text box provided in the
shopping cart when ordering, and we will pass this code onto you.
